Inspired by recent progress in quantum coherent effects in biology, I mainly focus on the topic concerning quantum coherent device.

transfer in natural light-harvesting
complexes.
Recent advances in experiments demonstrate quantum-coherence-like phenomena in exciton energy transfer of natural photosynthetic systems. Non-trivial geometries of chlorophylls have long been discovered in such systems. Then, two natural questions come to our mind:
Figure 2. Simulating photosynthetic
energy transfer on quantum computer
Nobel laureate Richard Feynman pointed out that it is of great advantage to use quantum computers to simulate quantum dynamics of quantum systems. We first theoretically propose and experimentally demonstrate that we can use NMR quantum computers to design photosynthetic light harvesting and quantum metrology.
Figure 3. The structure of an NV center in
diamond.
Because the NV centers in diamond possess long decoherence time, and easy operation by microwave and radio-frequency pulses, they have been widely used in quantum information and quantum metrology. Using NV centers, we proposed realizing hyperbolic metamaterials, detecting weak magnetic field, navigating, initializing C13 nuclear spins around NV centers for quantum information processing.
